Why Travellers Choose Us

25 Years. One Guide. The Real Outback.

This isn't a franchise.

Gekko Safari has been taking small groups through South Australia's outback since the late 1990s. It isn't a big bus company with a rotating roster of guides. You'll travel with people who have driven these roads hundreds of times and know the story behind every stop.

Our travellers are typically in their 50s, 60s and 70s - experienced enough to know what makes a tour great, and discerning enough not to settle for less. They come back. And they send their friends.

What Our Customers Say

  • Seats Are Limited

Lake Eyre Won't Wait

This tour runs with a maximum of 16 passengers. When a departure fills, it fills.

Lake Eyre is at its most spectacular in the months following significant rainfall - and conditions change fast.

The time to book is when water is in the lake, not after.
